Ashley & Chris - Reception Items

I had a lot of fun creating all the reception items for Ashley and Chris's turtle themed wedding in Holland, Michigan. In addition to their fabulous seating chart, I also created table numbers and menus featuring their custom monogram and turtle damask pattern!

Sunny & Andrew - Favors

I love thinking of creative solutions for the budget conscious bride, so when Sunny told me that she and a friend (Heather Wells of Bright Lights Little City, whose awesome lamps were recently featured on Martha Stewart!) would be handcrafting travel candles as the favors for her travel themed wedding I suggested that we let them do double duty as escort cards, too!

These favors were super crafty, smelled wonderful, and were a fun and useful keepsake for her guests!

Jennifer DiLullo - Logo & Business Cards

I've been getting more and more requests lately for corporate branding projects, so I thought I'd share one of my latest projects with you! Jennifer DiLullo is an awesome New York City based television producer who was looking for a new look for her business cards that really expressed her personality. She wanted something fun, colorful, and that referenced both her passions: gardening and the television industry!

We came up with the concept of a colorful tree sprouting from Jenn's name and roots that wrapped around the back of the card to become a fun, retro television set. (Did you notice that the brand of the television is "Jenny"?!) These funky business cards are definitely a great conversation starter!

Max's 1st Birthday

There are three things you should know about Max:

1) He's Adorable.
2) He loves monkeys.
3) He REALLY loves Curious George.

He loves to read Curious George, watch Curious George, and even drags a little Curious George monkey around with him.

In celebration of Max's first birthday, I created an invitation to his Curious George themed birthday party inspired by his favorite book of Curious George stories.

The 8 page "book" in colors of red, yellow, and blue told a short story about Curious George and his friend Max and invited the recipient to join them in celebrating Max's 1st Birthday!

See? I told you he's adorable. Max with his best friend George pictured on the end page of his invitation. Stay tuned for more pics featuring Max's coordinating birthday decor!

Oktoberfest and more!

I have so many new exciting projects that I'm working on right now and can't wait to share them all with you as soon as I've photographed them! In the works are some really cute collateral items for Sunny & Andrew's travel themed wedding, invites for the birthday bash to end all birthday bashes, and wedding invitations for a couple planning their vintage inspired New York wedding all the way from Liberia!

In the meantime I thought I'd show off a little something I designed for my town's big upcoming festival...Oktoberfest! My husband and I moved to a great little community at the beginning of this year and are always so impressed by the events they organize for their residents.

While summer movies in the park are officially over, we can now look forward to the (not so) crisp days of a Southern California autumn and our local Oktoberfest featuring traditional german foods, beer from local breweries, and a carnival for the kiddies. This logo will be featured on signage, tee shirts, and in ads!

Ashley & Chris - Seating Chart

Here's a quick look a the seating chart I did for Ashley & Chris's recent turtle themed wedding. This 24" by 36" poster was displayed at the reception and made it oh-so-easy for guests to find their table assignments! I love seating charts...they can be a lovely memento that the bride and groom often frame and hang in their home after the wedding. This one features the couple's custom sea turtle monogram and wedding colors of chocolate and blue!

Ashley & Chris: Chocolate & Blue Turtle Invitations

Ashley and Chris recently had a beautiful wedding in picturesque Holland, Michigan; so I thought I'd show off their custom blue and chocolate Pocketfold invitations! It was very important to them that their invites featured something very symbolic to them...turtles! After playing around with a lot of ideas to incorporate their theme, I finally settled on a beautiful little damask pattern that cleverly featured tiny sea turtles.

Directions, Reception, and Response cards were designed to stack together in the pocket to create one seamless pattern!

The back of their directions card included this custom map featuring an adorable little windmill to mark the location of their ceremony and reception!

I also created a monogram for them featuring the same sea turtle which was used on many of their printed items: A seal to hold their invitation folders closed, save the dates, table numbers, a wonderful seating chart (stay tuned for more about this!), and fan programs. (The fans came in quite handy for their outdoor summer ceremony!)

Sunny & Andrew's Save the Dates!

Sunny and Andrew wanted something a little more formal for the invitations for their travel themed wedding, but when it came to their Save the Dates they were open to something a little more fun and kitschy! I came up with the concept of a souvenir "big letter" style postcard where the letters would be filled with scenes from destinations around the world where they've traveled or lived together! Their special request: sticker covered vintage style suitcases with luggage tags bearing their names...

The reverse was styled to look like a hand written note on a souvenir postcard and gave guests an early clue to the theme of their wedding. The final product was an incredibly detailed and personal Save the Date like nothing they'd ever seen before!

Sunny & Andrew's Travel Themed Wedding!

I recently completed these invites for Sunny & Andrew. World travelers who spend most of their free time together on exotic globetrotting adventures, when it came time to pick a theme for their wedding the choice was obvious! Sunny and Andrew asked a dear friend of theirs to draw an illustration of a globe that we then incorporated into a custom invitation suite in their colors of burgundy and cream.

I designed a custom pattern featuring a compass rose motif that we used throughout the suite. Their envelopes even had custom matching liners! (I can't say enough about how much "wow factor" a custom liner adds to your invites...) Inserts were held in place in the folder style invitation with a custom paper band.

The folder was bound in a wide custom paper band with their monogram and wedding date. Mailing envelopes featured a coordinating design and machined calligraphy mailing addresses!

We also did a great little custom map with driving directions on the reverse.
